MBX-12 Workshops & Presentations
Dr. Sang H. Kim offers seminars to health professionals and others interested in improving their knowledge of mindful movement, sitting and walking meditation, and various deep breathing methods. In a one-day or two-day hands-on seminar, Dr. Kim teaches many ways in which mindfulness, meridian channel stretching, and deep breathing can be used to improve health and well-being. The goal of this seminar is to provide attendees with the latest research and the tools for self-care using mindful movement and meditation.
Dr. Kim is a dynamic, engaging communicator, who has spoken at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, Harvard’s Psychology Extension Course and Institute of lifestyle Medicine, and various civic organizations and health conferences.

Mindful Movement & Meditation Workshops in Cape Cod
In October, we had an overwhelming response to “Mindful Movement and Meditation” programs held at the Falmouth Public library. Dr. Kim presented four sessions: one for the library staff members, and three for the residents.

MBX-12 for Law Enforcement Resilience Training
Dr. Kim presented his speech on Science of Resilience and hands on training of MBX-12 for over 100 law enforcement agents from various agencies in New England. Leaders of Team Training Associates and the University of Rhode Island Public Safety Department hosted the event to help field officers enhance skills for leadership and job performance as well as personal well-being.
East Meets West Mindfulness Talk in Woods Hole
The Woods Hole Public Library in Woods Hole, Massachusetts presented Dr. Kim’s talk and hands-on practice session of mindful movement on January 13, 2016. He presented his research findings on therapeutic mindfulness training as well as on preventative training for the general public. 6-week MBX-12 & One Mind One Breath Workshop in Foxboro, MA
The 6-week Mindfulness and Meditation Workshop, organized and sponsored by the Foxboro Council on Aging and Human Services in Massachusetts.
Over 120 participants had the opportunity to learn MBX-12 between September 29 and November 4, and many of them seamlessly performed the 12 movement routine with Dr. Kim following the beautiful rhythm of Beethoven’s Sonata No 8 in C minor Op 13 Pathetique Adagio Cantabile.
8-week MBX-12 Workshop in Falmouth, MA
The 8-week Mindful Movement & Meditation Workshop, organized and sponsored by the Department of Human Services of the Town of Falmouth in Massachusetts, had a great turnout with over 320 residents participated.The Falmouth Enterprise newspaper introduced MBX12 as a mindful exercise form for “feeling refreshed and invigorated and regaining a sense of oneself“. After 8 weeks, the paper summed up the experience of MBX12 practice as “the participants being experts moving together, eliciting the peacefulness of yoga, the power of martial arts, and the flow of dance, especially when they concluded the evening practicing to the 2nd Movement of the Beethoven Sonata No 8. At points the only sound was their synchronized breathing.” The Falmouth Community Television exclusively featured Dr. Kim and his teaching philosophy.
Mindful Movement & Meditation Workshop for Physicians & Staff in Connecticut
This workshop was hosted by Dr. Jarrod Post, CEO of Connecticut Mulitispecialty Group, along with other staff and physicians of CMG. “The workshop provided an evening of peaceful dialog and to learn methods for: improving daily mindfulness, maintaining sustained energy, improving resilience during our daily routines, coping with stressful events, and creating peaceful moments for our members,” says Dr. Post.
Dr. Kim, the creator of MBX-12, taught the unique sequence of 12 mindful movements that invigorate internal energy flow and enhance stress resilience. Based on his life-long experience in martial arts practice, teaching, and research, Dr. Kim created this invigorating active form of moving meditation by bringing together mindful movement and deep breathing to release stress under pressure, to become energized, and to have clarity of mind that can help professionals not only get the job done effectively but also have better relationships with their clients.
Invigorating Mindful Movement at Harvard Medical School
Dr. Sang H. Kim presents Mindful Movement at the Harvard Medical School’s CME course, “Lifestyle Medicine: Tools for Promoting Healthy Change” on Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2014, at the Richard Simches Auditorium at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.

Mindful Movement in Washington DC Metro Area
Between August and November, 2013, Dr. Kim, author of 20 books, researcher, and a lifetime martial artist, held various sessions for short meditation, breathing exercises, and a series of mindful movements in Upperville,VA and Rockville, MD. His teaching focused on increasing inner energy levels, taking more control over personal health and wellbeing and regaining peace of mind through practice of mindful movement.
